Email verifier that checks every address before you send
Every bounce tells mailbox providers that you do not know who you are writing to. A few bad lists in a row can hurt a domain for months. The ColdReach email verifier checks every address before it enters a sequence, sorts results into clear groups and keeps invalid addresses out of your sending. It runs inside the same tool that finds, writes and sends, so verification happens without exporting a single file.
Four checks on every address
Each address goes through four checks in order. A failure at any step stops the address from reaching your sequence.
- Syntax check, the address is formed correctly
- Domain check, the domain exists and resolves
- MX check, the domain has mail servers that accept email
- Mailbox check, the mail server confirms the mailbox where it allows us to ask
Risky and catch-all addresses flagged
Some domains accept mail for any address, so the mailbox check cannot confirm a single person. ColdReach marks these as catch-all. Addresses with other warning signs are marked risky. You decide whether to include them, send them later or leave them out.
| Result | Meaning | Default action |
|---|---|---|
| Valid | All four checks passed | Enters the sequence |
| Risky | Passed the basic checks with warning signs | Held for your decision |
| Catch-all | The domain accepts any address | Held for your decision |
| Invalid | Failed a check | Kept out of every sequence |
An email verification tool that does not need exports
A separate email verification tool means downloading a list, uploading it, waiting, downloading again and importing the clean file. ColdReach verifies contacts where they already live. Contacts from the email finder, lists from the ai lead generator and CSV imports all pass the same checks before they join a sequence.
- Verify single contacts, saved lists or CSV imports
- Results stored on the prospect record
- Invalid contacts blocked from sequences automatically
Verification before every sequence start
Contact data ages. People change jobs and companies change domains. When a contact enters a sequence, ColdReach checks it, so a list built weeks ago does not send to addresses that stopped working.
One email verification service for every mailbox you send from
Teams with many connected mailboxes need verification that covers all of them. On ColdReach the allowance belongs to the plan, so every user and every mailbox in the workspace uses the same email verification service. Agencies on Scale and Enterprise run verification inside separate client workspaces.
Verification protects the rest of your sending
Verification is one part of domain protection. ColdReach also ramps up new mailboxes gradually, rotates sending across mailboxes, keeps a daily cap per mailbox and pauses a mailbox when bounces or complaints rise. The pacing is explained on the email warmup tool page, and the full loop on cold outreach automation.
Email verifications per month
Each plan includes a monthly number of email verifications. Each verification counts as consumption in the billing period, and deleting a contact does not return quota. Compare every limit on the cold email software pricing page.
| Plan | Email verifications per month | Monthly | Yearly per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 1,000 | $49 | $24 |
| Growth | 5,000 | $149 | $74 |
| Scale | 20,000 | $499 | $249 |
| Enterprise | 80,000 | $1,499 | $749 |
Questions
What is a catch-all address
A catch-all domain accepts email for any address at that domain, so the mail server cannot confirm whether one specific person exists. ColdReach flags these addresses and lets you decide.
Does the email verifier send an email to check an address
No. The checks look at syntax, the domain, its MX records and the response of the mail server. No email is sent to the contact during verification.
Can I verify a list I already have
Yes. Import a CSV and ColdReach verifies each address before any of them can enter a sequence. Each address counts toward your monthly verifications.
Do contacts from the ColdReach database need verification too
Yes. Every contact is verified before it enters a sequence, whatever its source, because addresses change over time.
Clean your next list before it costs you a domain
Create your account, import a list or build a new one, and send only to addresses that passed verification.
